The Korigad Fort is located 20 kilometers south of Lonavala in the Pune district, Maharashtra. It is a hill fort located at a distance of 25 Km away from Lonavala in the Pune district. Settled at an elevation of 920 metres above sea level, it is well known for its outstanding structure. Located at a distance of 22 Km from lonavla, Peth Shahapur is the base village of Korigad Fort. Trekking starts from this village.

How To Reach Korigad

Over the years, it was controlled by different empires, including the Marathas and the British.

By Road:

Almost all the state highways in Maharashtra are well connected to Pune city. At the bus stand of any district in Maharashtra, you will easily get the number of buses to Pune. Then from the bus stand, you can take a cab or bus to reach the fort. Peth-Shahapur is the base village to the Korigad Fort. 

By Train:

You have to catch the train to Pune. From Pune railway station you can take a cab . Otherwise, directly take the train to Lonavala. And then from Lonavala station, you will easily get a cab to Korigad. Lonavala railway station is the nearest station to Korigad. It is situated at a distance of 25 km away from the fort. From Lonavala take the bus which goes towards Aamby Valley which will drop you directly at the base village.

Pune airport is the nearest airport to Korigad. It is located at a distance of 95 Km away from Korigad. From the airport take a cab or bus to reach korigad.
